This is a vintage oblong silver-plated Repousse jewelry box by probably Godinger produced sometime in the 1970s and onwards through the 1990s.
The intricate Repousse technique features Art Nouveau motifs, with detailed foliage throughout its body. The raised patterns are created by carefully hammering the metal from the reverse side.
The exquisite jewelry box also features a hinged lid and a gentle patina. The lid stands open with interior cream lining with a clean, oval mirror and it will hold rings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and other jewelry items.
The box measures 22.5mm L X 95mm W X 50mm H and is in excellent condition with no soiling or separation of the lining, and no dents.
It has black velvet lining.
